ABOUT US
We are a couple from Baix Empordà (Catalonia), Aixel Garcia from Vall-Llobrega, 30 years old (forestry technician) and Júlia Pujadas from Palafrugell, 27, technical architect.
In 2015 there was a terrible earthquake in Nepal. We were inspired to move to the most affected areas for 6 months.
From that moment on our lives have changed!
In November 2015 we arrived in Nepal, part of RECOOP Nepal. There we worked with the NGO NouSol and the associations Hugging Nepal and Don't forget Nepal.
Our goal of work was to help with the technical support of the architecture and building stability of schools in rural areas that were damaged by the earthquake.
In Catalonia we have our biological family, but in Nepal we have a second family.
During the month in which we lived in Nepal, we created a very meaningful connection Durga, Shoova, Narayan and Umesh in the rural village of Kavre.
We remember them every day. We dream them, we think and remember them; and after two years in September 2018 we will finally be able to see each other again.
We are two people with great care. We like to discover, learn, help, and we believe that solidarity is the best weapon to fight against this world!
